Abstract & Title Co. Presents $500 Check
To Hill Country College Fund
KERRVILLE, Texas – Fidelity
Abstract & Title Co. owners Jimmie and Rae Peschel recently
presented Schreiner University’s Hill Country College Fund
with a check for $500 to help fund need-based tuition assistance
grants for area Schreiner students.

“Jimmie Peschel is a wonderful example of a Schreiner graduate who has chosen to stay in the Hill Country to raise his family and serve his community,” said Jennifer Farhoudi, associate director of development for annual giving at Schreiner University. “His family and his company have been longtime supporters of Hill Country College Fund and we are truly appreciative. Through their generosity, they are passing the gift of education on to future generations of Hill Country students.”
Since the Hill Country College Fund began in 1977, it has provided more than $8 million in need-based tuition assistance to students from Kimble, Kerr, Gillespie, Kendall, Bandera, Real, and Edwards counties, and helps more than 250 Hill Country Students annually. Hill Country College Fund grants provide an average of over $2,900 a year per recipient, and one hundred percent of funds raised goes to student scholarships.

Co. Celebrates 70th Anniversary and Announces New Local Owner
KERRVILLE, TX – A lot has changed since
1936. The average cost of a house was $6200, new automobile
$600 and the price of gasoline was just $.19 a gallon. But one
thing has not changed, Fidelity Abstract & Title Co.’s
commitment to providing quality, friendly service in a timely
manner.

Fidelity Abstract & Title Co. of Kerrville is proud to celebrate
70 years of serving the Texas Hill Country this month. Fidelity
was founded in 1936. In 1951, Judge A.P. Allison purchased
Fidelity and brought Jimmie Peschel into manage the company in
1973. The Allison family recently accepted Jimmie’s
bid to purchase the company out right.
Jimmie Peschel, President and Escow Officer,
is now officially sole owner of Fidelity. Jimmie is a native
of Kerrville who graduated from Tivy High School and Howard Payne
University. Jimmie has been in the title business and with Fidelity
Abstract & Title,
Co. for 33 years. He has amassed numerous awards and honors
for his hard work and is recognized by his peers as the local
expert on Hill Country property.
Through the years, Jimmie has
been President of the Special Opportunity Center, Kerr County
Day Care Center, Dietert Senior Center, Kiwanis Club and Kerrville
Little Dribblers. He has also served
on the boards of the YMCA, Kerrville Little League, Christian
Women's Job Corps (currently President), Kerrville Economics
Development Foundation, Class of 1992 Leadership Kerr County,
Hill Country Soccer Association and Volunteer Council of the
Kerrville State Hospital. Additionally, he is a member
of the Texas Land Title Association and Kerrville Board of Realtors
and is a Deacon at Trinity Baptist Church.
Jimmie is married to
Rae Peschel and they have two sons, Greg and Scott. Scott
represents the title company as legal counsel and his wife, Shelby,
recently was named Director of Marketing. With Jimmie’s
expertise, sense of family values and commitment to integrity
and service, Fidelity will continue to be a leader in Kerr County
for years to come. Fidelity thanks the community for supporting
